Guidelines for e-zine advertising

Choosing and Ezine can be quite a daunting task, here is how to do it well! The success of an ezine advertising campaign depends very much on your own efforts. It depends on the product or service you choose to promote, on your ad copy, your site and landing page, etc. So if you are going to get the most of our advertising campaign you have to make sure your site and other online properties are the best they can be, then you can pursue the best ezine for your money and your efforts.

Here are the criteria you should use:

Make a master list of ezines that publish content from the same niche like the product or service you plan to promote.

Based on your advertising budget, remove from that list the ezines that charge prices you cannot afford to pay.

Search on Google for “ezine’s name scam” and then for “ezine’s name review”. Read the reviews you found and remove from your list the ezines that got more than 1-2 negative reviews.

Subscribe to the rest of ezines that you still have on your list and compare them. You may not find a perfect ezine, but based on this list you will be able to select 3-4 ezines that are the most suitable.

6 Reasons for Ezines

This time I wanted to talk to you more about ezines as a way to promote your business and your other online properties. Adnan and I put out heads together and found 6 reasons to use ezines for online business promotion, internet marketing, and seo purposes.

Expense:

Advertising on ezines is a cheap way to do some massive advertising. Many ezine publishers are very willing to offer free advertisements and sponsorships on their ezines for a trade for a product or service. They might even write a review of their own! Most ezines have low advertising rates because they do not have the overheard of large circulation magazines and other mediums of advertising. Ezines still need to fill space and when they can’t put in any more content they can use your ad to fill the page.

Ezine Transferability:
Ezines usually don’t stop with one recipient. Your ezine will probably get passed around to friends, colleagues and others the ezine recipient sends it to. That means your ad goes with the ezine making its actual circulation larger and your viewership and potential customer base just as large.

Life-cycle:

No matter what happens to that ezine, most publications keep full archives of past issues for people to go back and read or find links. Which means if your ad isn’t necessary today it might be necessary tomorrow or a few months from now, even better is new subscribers will see the ad as they ezine sends it out to new people.

Better Response Rates:
When you pick an ezine make sure it means it gets around to your target audience so that those who are reading are interested in the topic and more likely to click on your ads. Once again the ultimate success in getting responses to your advertisement is in how it’s written. Response rates of 10% to 30% have been reported using the right ezine

Ezines are great for building relationships

If your Ezine provides regular quality content which your subscribers can really use they’ll begin to trust your opinion and will also begin to feel that they know you. This is important as you must develop relationships to make real money from your website.

Having your own Ezine keeps you connected

Writing your own ezine and building an email list that it goes out to means that you are constantly in contact with your customer base and you can respond to their needs and desires. It’s also a great way to announce new opportunities and sales no matter what business you’re on.

And if you didn’t have enough reasons here are four bonus reasons I just thought of:

Ezines make it possible for you to grow a lengthy mailing list that you can market to over and over again.

Ezines are extremely effective at promoting your info products.

Ezines position you as an expert in your niche.

Ezines spread the word about your info products effortlessly

Intro to Video

Youtube.com and other video sites have changed the way we view media. In the past what would have been a library meeting, hotel meeting or some other meeting is now easily done with a computer camera or video camera and a few minutes of your time. As an internet marketer you can leverage the tremendous power of video for their own marketing devices. Your videos are a great way to get a universal message out to people quickly and easily and they can be posted on a variety of social networks which means you can link all your online marketing and networking together. This means more leads, more customers, and more money in your pocket.

Video is so very powerful there are tons of stories about videos that have gone “viral.” Everything from the comedic to the  politically mundane have had lives online where thousands and even hundreds of thousands of people have seen a video. Videos are interactive and a short video can make someone very interested in a product or service. Video is your way to get your message out quickly. Everyone who is trying to do business online should be working on videos to reach out to new customers and leads.

Some quick video tips: Keywords, make sure you tag your video correctly

Time: Around 5 minutes is a good length

Content: your content can be anything, just make sure its interesting and something people want to watch and will keep their interested. Its easier than you think.

Something Special

Usually Adnan does not write these posts, usually I do. My name is Cameron Cowan and I have a variety of tasks at Thrive mostly to do with worry about Adnan! He sent me this the other day I thought it was so inspirational we should share it.

Cameron, you were asking about our ticket prices and the recession so I decided to answer that for you. You have one fact right we are in a recession, and its probably one of the worst one we have had, and recovering from it is going to take forever right? Or could you be wrong…

Ever heard of the expression the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer… its definitely the case… I don’t see any rich person complaining….. give examples of people rich that everyone will relate to Cameron…

People are always downsizing on education and investment in training and learning about how to adapt their businesses in a downturn – it’s the norm, and hats why every week we get another crazy statistic on the number of companies that go out and close down….

In a recession the internet marketing and the ways you do this become even more important and we show you at our events how to do these even at the most pauper of budgets.. you must consolidate what you know by attending such conferences and boot camps as Thrive where we teach you not just to survive but to Thrive…. We show you that in fact it’s the best time to learn on the latest techniques, how to get around the priciest of techniques and how to adapt and tweak the strategy to ensure that you are marketing at your best even in a downturn and still producing growth in a downturn.

Ezine and other Online Publications

There are plenty of ways to garner more and more publicity for your business and that is through ezines and other online publications. Ezines are electronic based publications that usually focus on a certain topic and there are several hundred reputable publications that get emailed around to people who have interest in what the publication is saying, just like old-fashioned print magazines. With the advent of easy webpage design and blogging there are lots of purely web-based ezines as well. The long and the short is that it’s easy to get involved in ezines. There are two easy ways to get involved with ezines, advertising and articles.

Finding ezines that appeal to your target market is no problem at all. Ezine directories abound. You will also find that as you work within forums, websites, and social networks you will find plenty of ezines to start contacting for potential advertising and articles. No matter if the ezine is web based or if it is email based the best ezines are ones that are in your niche and have a wide variety of readers to see your advertising and message.

How to start your own ezine

Ezines are a great way to generate new leads, find new customers, keep in contact with old customers and promote your products. They also do a great job of building your online credentials making you more trustworthy and moving you to the top of your niche. Having a great ezine is an essential. The first problem you’re going to have to over come is figuring if you are going to go email or web-based. If you have a huge list of email contacts and you’re using it primarily to keep up with your customers then email based is a great option. However, if you are trying to get new customers or just don’t have a huge email list then web based would be easiest. As you build a list of contacts you can email the link around to your email list of customers or prospects.

You can create a newsletter using your Microsoft Word processor or  a wordpress blog. WordPress blogs take only a few minutes to setup and Word has several newsletter templates and background. Doing a newsletter in Word is more complicated but can also yield beautiful results and is easy to email to a contact list. If you are ready to outlay some money you can also invest in Adobe InDesign. They are also flash programs that can give your newsletter the look and feel of a real magazine.

Your next hurdle to get over is the content. You can use article farms like Ezine articles and articles base for your extra content beyond what you want to write. You can include everything from goings on around the house to new products or services.  Its best to keep your newsletter around 4 pages or about 2000 words that way people can get the information quickly without having to read your own version of War and Peace.

The most important thing is to have fun, be responsive to readership and make it the best it can be!

Thrive SuperConference—Just a Dream

Thrive Superconference is like so many other things, it started as a dream. Our founder, Adnan Majid has worked for some of the largest corporations in the world. He has worked for IBM, Virgin, Verizon and several other companies. He did his tasks as directed and generally was a cog in the machine of the corporate world. However, this got him thinking, why should he work hard for lowly paychecks while his incompetent albeit well-connected bosses get bonuses and promotions over him. It was time to start his own company working for himself that way all the hard work he was putting and all the late nights he was suffering would be for himself not a large faceless corporation with poor leadership. That impetus was what started Thrive. Thrive teaches people to work for themselves and build a business for themselves so that they don’t have to deal with the politics, drama, unfair workloads, and other problems that comes with the 9-5 grind. The ability to work in any country, make what you want, and do what you want is the best feeling the world.

At least Adnan thinks so.

If you want to achieve this dream too please go to: http://www.thrivesuperconference.com and see when we’ll be in a city near you soon! If we’re not coming by then demand us by leaving a comment or emailing us.
